A roller coaster ride of romance and intrigue until the last page...guaranteed! |
Lauralee's writing career began as a teenager crafting adventure stories. The

romance to science fiction to historical. She has nine books published
to date - five books in print and four electronic books. All of them are
inspirational romances. While she loves to write romance, she also has an

Book Three in the MYSTERIES IN TIME Series, THE WISH, coming early 2006. |
First of all, let me say a collective, heartfelt "THANK YOU" for the thankless and
tireless work you do to keep the Christian E-Authors all on the straight and
narrow! I know, at times, this is an utter impossibility! I commend
you for your attempts. Thank you, too for granting me this interview.
I know you are very busy. I appreciate you giving me carte blanche with
my interview questions for yourself and the others I have had the privilege
to interview. |
1.) How long have you known Jesus as your personal Savior? Can you tell
us a little about what He has come to mean to you? |
LB: I came to know Jesus 18 years ago. Alone and suffering from alcohol
abuse, I cried out for help and He answered. I have walked with Him ever
since and have been amazed at how He has orchestrated my life as I trust in
Him - from moving to Virginia, to meeting my husband, raising my son, and now a
writing career. I have loved to write ever since I was a teenager, and God
knew those interests intimately. It is a great pleasure to use such interests
for His glory. |
2.) I know you love to write Inspirational Romance Fiction. How important
is it for you to weave the message of the gospel into these books? Which
one is your favorite (so far)? |
LB: I like to categorize my books as roller coaster fiction, that is, fiction
that leaves readers turning the pages but that they will walk away with a lesson
that ministers to their hearts. Bringing forth the word of God through
fiction works is an important ministry, and I feel so humbled that God has called
me to be an author for His name's sake. And I must say that I like
all my books. Each has its own special message along with a roller coaster
storyline. |
3.) If money were no object... and you had your choice of vacation getaways,
where would you go and why? |
LB: I would love to go to Israel. To walk the lands described in the
Bible, to trace the paths where Jesus went would be a life changing experience. |
4.) You have written over fifteen books; five have been published in hard copy
and four are e-books. In The Crossfire was a 2004 EPPIE Finalist. With those differences aside, how are Ageless Love, Time Will Tell, and Kaleidoscope different from In The Crossfire, Imprisoned and Enemy Of The Valley? |
LB: Ageless Love, Time Will Tell, and Kaleidoscope are all contemporary romance books published by a print publisher. The latter
three are part of my special e-book trilogy on the Civil War. They are
historical fiction. Living in Virginia, I always wanted to write a historical
series on the Civil War and am thankful that Awe Struck E-publishing decided to
publish it electronically. And to help promote it, I have developed a historical
website - History Comes Alive, where people can map out their historical
adventures. To me, learning history through fiction works makes it much
more interesting and exciting. You can visit the web site at History Comes Alive. |
5.) How many more books can we expect to see by Lauralee Bliss in 2006?
How many books do you have started right now? |
LB: I have two books scheduled for release for 2006 including my first historical
print novel that takes place at Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. Right now
I am working on another historical novel that takes place in West Virginia, circa
1943, and a possible historical series set in the Rockies. But I continue
to submit proposals for different ideas, including a Mom Lit series currently
being handled by my agent. |
6.) What one accomplishment are you most proud of? |
LB: Actually I am most proud of being able to home school my son. While
he is basically independent study now as a high school student, there is a great
sense of accomplishment knowing that I taught him how to read, how to do elementary
math, and stimulated his interest in science and history. It is
very fulfilling. |
7.) What one thing, if any, would you change, were it in your power to do so? |
LB: If had the power to change one thing, I would make abortions illegal and
spread the word of the blessing found in children. Children are our legacy,
God's special gift, and we need to embrace them and not think of them as a
burden. I want this world to embrace life, not death. |
Thank you again, Lauralee, for taking the time to answer these questions. You
